I use Screen Time for my son's iPad and iPhone. I created app limits for applications through "All Apps & Categories" . The problem is that only Minecraft is not blocked by screen time limit and downtime, and it is not on "always allow apps". My son doesn't know the password to change limits. Could anyone know how to fix this problem?

I had the same issue with my son's iPad and 2 games: Mine craft and Brawl Stars and YouTube Kids. The only fix I found was to Delete Screen Time Limit / turn it off and then turn it back on. I added Games and Entertainment and now all 3 apps are blocked.
As I wrote above, the only fix for this issue was to turn off screen time limit and turn it back ok and then add Games as category and it would apply the limit to all games. For some games it works by default for others I have to repeat it.

Try updating to iPadOS 13.5.1 to see if it resolves your problem.
Settings > General > Software Update
The only way to get MineCraft "out of the way" is to set Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Apps > 4+
That MineCraft is not treated in teh same as other app-s by Screen Time is very "disappointing" (read: the frustration shortened my life by a few hours).
Minecraft in the Mac is not an app. This his why screentime doesn’t work. The Minecraft app is simply a launcher, and it then opens an Exec command. The kids only need a few seconds to use the launcher, and then they are free to stay on Minecraft without being time monitored. I don’t know the workaround. Do any tech geeks know how we can fix the issue?
I ran into this today. You can enable Screen Time and not have to disable it and allow games like what was said before. However, you have to turn off “Content Restrictions” which I don’t like at all! That’s the setting that allows you to control what ratings, etc. they’re able to see and if they’re allowed to play multiplayer games, etc.
It's Roblox on my son's ipad- Tried deleting the Screen time settings, factory reset, ipad fully updated and still issue persists. What's the point in the Screentime setting if the thing fails to work??!?!?!
Didn't work because can't get to 13.5.1. Using older iPad mini (12.4.7). Screen time with downtime enabled works for all apps with exception to Minecraft.
Updating to iPadOS 13.5.1 does not resolve the issue for me. Minecraft seems to be the only app with this issue.

Same. Minecraft can’t be blocked or managed on iMacs either. I think Minecraft must pay Apple because Apple will not respond to this issue .
