The thousands separator does not appear.

When I change the format of a digital cell, so by default "Number" in decimal number or in two-digit currency (€) after the decimal point with thousands separator, this separator does not appear.

Thanks for your help.

When I go to File > Advanced > Language & Region ... and switch to Language French, Region France:

I get this:

This appears correct (i.e. a space for the thousands separator).

I suggest you go to File > Advanced > Language & Region ... and see what your settings are for that document.

Also try going to System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced and see what you have there.

The settings in one of those places may be interfering with how Numbers is displaying the numbers in your document.

One other thought: if this document was imported from Excel then there might be a flaw in the import.

If all else fails and you think this really is a bug then you can report it to Apple at Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in your menu.

This goes well for an English doc "translated" to French with Numbers in English (macOS English) when changing File>Advanced settings, but not for a French doc with Numbers in French (macOS French).

Bonjour Bertrand,

Je suis d'accord. J'ai redémarré mon Mac avec ces paramètres :

I agree. I restarted my Mac with these settings:

Et j'ai créé un nouveau document sur Numbers.

And I created a new Numbers document.

Il montre correctement un espace comme le séparateur de milliers et (,) comme le séparateur de décimales.

It shows correctly a space as the Thousands Separator and (,) as the Decimal separator.

C'est étrange. Ne désespérez pas ! Je vais "pousser ça en haut des escaliers" et demander de l'aide.

That's strange. Don't despair! I'll "push this up the stairs" and ask for help.

Cordialement,

Ian.
