Low Battery and USB HOT

Taken IPad 3 to Doctors - 2x’s in 1 month because being at 100% and goes down to 8% and quicker to

Low battery and gone. I start using Ipad around 11:00 a.m. go to 5:30 p.m. by that time the batteries gone.

The Ipad Doctors swear it’s not the Battery! While I’m using it I keep it plugged in, so why doesn’t it stay charged! I have noticed my USB cable feels hot to touch, I haven’t heard anyone mention that?

My 10 inch iPad’s battery was not like this. I don’t do games but I do use Facebook/Marketplace and Save items. But I frequently go in to see if Seller’s lower prices or have Sold items and I delete those items.

I don’t use Facebook except maybe once a week to check in. For example, I charged my Ipad all night and opened it up and it was not charged but 85%? I’ve also used different outlets to charge overnight, it doesn't matter, I’ve tried everything.

Sometimes, I hear a sound that you hear when you plug in your USB cable to your device, often this noise when my battery starts going down, when I start hearing this noise I unplug and plug it back in to my device, I move the cable around like it may have a short in USB cable or electrical outlet, NOTHING!

When I started writing this I was watching the battery I started at 75% now it's gone down to 68%.

It’s 11:54 AM by 5:00 or sooner the battery will be down completely. Plugged it back in at 11:57 AM it is now 67% with lighting bolt and I’m hearing that noise I mentioned above 3 times and the battery is still

67% flashing black and green now it’s 66% @ 12:02 PM. Help!
