I want to hear my telephone call onmy car speakers

Hi -- I use my iPhone 11 as a gps system in my car. So I connect it, using the USB port of my car to connect it to my sound system, and I am guided all the way to the office. In the meantime, I can enjoy music which is stored on the iPhone or connecting to Spotify.

But, when I want to use the telephone function of the smartphone, I can only use the speaker of the device. When I get an incoming call, or when I tell Siri to call the wife, car speakers turn silent, but I can hardly hear anything since the sound of the iPhone speakers is quite low.

What do I have to do to get this call over the car speakers?

If you're using CarPlay, try the steps in this article: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support. If you're not using CarPlay, try the steps in this article How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car - Apple Support under the section titled, 'Connect using USB playback'. You should also reach out to your vehicle manufacturer to confirm if this function is supported through your vehicle stereo, or if you need additional software to connect phone calls to your car stereo.
