Software update issue

Hi every time I try to update the security software on my MacBook Pro (circa. 5 years old now) I get the following message 'The network connection was lost.(-1005)' any advice?

problem inst security update I have a MacBook Air. I have tried multiple times to install security update 2020-003 10.14.6. However, the update install never finishes, and instead I get a message stating "The network connection is lost. An occurred while installing the chosen updates". I'm not sure why I keep getting this message as the computer is connected to my Wi-Fi network even when the message appears on the screen. Any ideas how to correct this problem and complete the install?

Error Message "The network connection was lost" My son has a 2013 MacBook pro, High Sierra version 10.13.6. Whenever he tries to do a security update, it says the network connection was lost. He checked the network and it is connected so not user what to do. He's having trouble doing any updates so I'm not sure what is going on.

MacOS Mojave Security Update 2020-003 10.14.6 Error I'm trying to do Security Update 2020-003 10.14.6. 1) System Preferences 2) Software Update 3) Update Now 4) I get the popup "Some Updates need to finish downloading before they are installed." 5) Click Download & Restart Error Message reads: Network Connection was lost I am connected to the network, but I don't know what is the problem.

Have you tried either of the following to perform the upgrade:

Booting up in Safe Mode?
Temporarily connecting your MacBook Pro by Ethernet?
