Trend House Call ''Threat'' OSX REF.9EAE4E3A

I ran Trend ''House Call'' – and it found ''1-threat'' as ''OSX REF.9EAE4E3A'' – but House Call could not fix it. Any thoughts about this out there?

Has anyone else (besides me) noticed how bad apple telephone support has become? Yesterday I did an update to Mac OS on my iMac. Immediately after the update completed, I got a pop-up that said "MajorCharacterSearchDaemon" will damage your computer. There were 2 possibilities: "OK" and "Show in Finder". Neither option did anything. The pop-up is still on my desktop. It will not go away, and comes back if I restart or shut down then restart. I have never seen this after any update or any other time.

BestForMac I keep getting a warning about a BestForMacDaemon that dissapears if I hit show in finder. Where is this from?

crash reporter app I recently downloaded Etrecheck to verify if my Macbook pro has any problems, it found a minor issue called "crash reporter.app or crash_report_sender.app." It says it might be malware or an unidentified old version of an app. Please verify my report and help me see whether this is malware I must delete or if it's just an unidentified old version of an app. Thank you. As for any other issues you see in the report, please help with that too.

Do not give them any personal or financial information. Your Mac has built in security. Third party anti virus scans are not needed. Do not allow them remote access to your computer.
