I’ve been able to use the voice memo through text with my past (older) Apple devices. But with this phone it Records very low and has so much static. It’s like the volume is going in and out. What can be done about this ? Is my phone defective ? When people seen me voice memos I can hear them clearly.
Check if your mic is obstructed by a cover or dirty.

If the issue still persists, have your iPhone checked at an Apple Store or AASP (they are reopening after the lockdown).
