Problem updating

For a week I have been trying to update to Catalina 10.15.5 but it isn't working. This is what I get and then just have to restart.

Thanks for your post! I understand your machine has been having difficulty updating to macOS Catalina 10.15.5. Where are you updating from: system preferences or the App Store? What is the current macOS of the machine?


If you have not already, I suggest you back up the machine:


How to back up your Mac


After, reset the NVRAM then try the update again:


Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac


If the issue is persisting, try using macOS recovery:


How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery


Let us know what you find out!
