iOS 13.5.1 screen and calling issues

My iPhone XR was updated with 13.5.1 last night (6/9/2020). Since then, my screen is freezing and I cannot answer calls, scroll, etc. Very frustrating. What can be done to fix this?

Hi!

I just got done on apple support, because I was having so many issues after my phone updated last night. First, make sure your phone is completely backed up, and then try restarting it normally. Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Power button until the device restarts. After it restarts, check to see if the issues have improved, and if not, you most likely will have to erase the phone and restart it with your recent backup or as a new device.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, meant to respond to you. You repeatedly post the same solution, even to those who state that they have tried what you're posting already. As I others have stated there is obviously a problem with the last upgrade since so many of us have the same issue, so why not just level with us and inform us of when there will be a fix.

because nobody in these user to user technical works for Apple nor is Apple here.

IF you want Apple call them or go to the Apple store.

You haven't said anything about what troubleshooting steps you've done only rant.

For the 2nd time in 2 weeks my iphone XS crashed. I thought it was maybe because of there being a problem with Imessage as that was what I was using both times, but now wondering if it's a problem with the iOS. Since it crashed a week ago, I've not been able to do a reset of any sorts. I called Apple support, but they couldn't help so now have to go to the genius bar.

Backing up since the upgrade was an absolute nightmare and then my worst nightmare has come true in that my photo's haven't been backing up to iCloud, so I really need it to somehow turn back on without any data loss.

It seems the latest update 13.6 didn't come soon enough. Hopefully for those who have got their phones working this has resolved a couple of the issues.
