So in the disk utility there are many types of "MAC OS EXTENDED"
Which one would YOU choose when formatting your SSD ?
(ONE OR TWO SENTENCES should be more than enough).

Are you using the drive for external/internal storage or as a boot drive? If you are using it as a boot drive then just select APFS which is the new Apple filesystem. For storage, you can either use APFS or just Mac OS Extended (Journaled). The other options are not applicable to most users.

If you plan on using it as a bootable drive, then you must use APFS. It's required for Catalina.
I formatted my WD Blue 2TB as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) for running 10.13.6 ion my 2010 Mac Pro, I do not want APFS.
