Contacts

Now operating in OS 10.15.5, I have come across a problem never noticed with Contacts! No matter what, I cannot complete any entry into Contacts without the app, visually, flinching and then the cursor disappearing. This is happening on a 2017 13", 2-Thunderbolt 3 ports

Any suggestions?

The upgrade to 10.15.6 seems to have solved both the odd battery problem and the Contacts issue. Neither of those problems have shown themselves since making this update.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, jordanfelk!

I understand the Contacts app is glitching on your MacBook Pro. I'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

First try starting up in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Once in safe mode, ignore the visual effects and restart as normal. Check to see if the app continues behaving incorrectly.

Let us know the results.

Have a great day!

Thanks for the suggestion Chris! However, I have been having that odd battery problem with OS 10.15.5 and have needed to, repeatedly, do safe mode and NVPRAM to reset things so that the battery behaves as it should, instead of powering the computer even though it is plugged in.

After doing the above posting, yesterday, I decided to upgrade to 10.15.6 beta to see whether both of those problems would be corrected. I will attempt to remember and repost on this topic in about 48 to 72 hours to let people know what I have found out.
