iPhone 7 WiFi Slow on 2.4GHz Channel

Identical issue to iPhone 11 WiFi Slow on 2.4GHz Channel - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250839320

Anyone else had this and does a total reset and reinstall, not restore, fix it?

I like the physical home button too much to even want an iPhone 8 or higher so upgrading phone is not the option for now.

My 2.4 gHz connection was running 20x slower than 5 gHz even on another router when tested. However after updating to IOS 13.5.1 _and_ updating my ASUS router to newest firmware, 2.4 gHz is back to 30 mbps.

Hello Thamesway,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities, we're glad to have you here. It sounds like you are experiencing slow internet connectivity on your 2.4 GHz network. Routers make two speeds of networks 5GHz or 2.4GHz. The speed on that network is slower.

Although you're able to connect to your Wi-Fi network, these steps may help troubleshoot poor connectivity.
