I used to have a macbook 2015 8GB
128GB, dual core and worked on final cut pro
I’ve never experienced it freezing
Just few days ago I spent thousands on macbook 13 inch 16GB 1TB quad core
and it keeps freezing every few minutes????
why is that?
I paid all that money for smooth working
and I get this on my first week???

There is a known problem with 13" macs from 2020 and FCP X.
We are all waiting for that to be fixed - hopefully soon, when the next update comes (it is unclear whether an update of FCP X, Catalina, or both).

Did you use the 2015 with the current OS and current version of FCP? Of you did that would mean the problem is in the machine with this OS and FCP, which is very bad.

I’m sorry I’m not sure exactly what you mean. FCP is downloaded from the App Store. Could you specify what OS version and FCP version you were using on the 2015 computer?
My FCP is not downloaded from the app store
my friend has it in a CD version 10.4.7, both laptops
2015 OS version 10.15.5
so I think the same version
