I need help with Apple ID

My last iPhone used to be my ex’s phone so when my phone updates it keeps trying to make me sign into his Apple account instead of my own and now it’s doing on my new iPhone that I just got I don’t have his information anywhere in my phone yet it still comes up.

When you set up your new phone you probably restored it from a backup that contained apps purchased with his Apple ID. These apps will forever be tied to that ID. and they can be updated only with his ID sign in.


Delete these apps and download (or purchase) them with your Apple ID account.

Check the App Store and iTunes Store to see if there are any updates for apps/purchases. A request for another Apple ID password is often caused by updates to apps/purchases that were made when using the other ID. Those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
