trebuchet font not appearing properly in documents

I designed my logo using the font "Trebuchet MS" on Adobe Illustrator. It worked just fine. Now I want to make my presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint with the same font, but the typeface appears bold and italic despite the font settings for the same being off. When I on Bold and Italic, I see no change.

Not sure if this is a Microsoft issue with the font or an Apple compatibility with Microsoft Applications.

I know Adobe accepted the font just fine, so the font is not damaged in anyway.. The same font works fine on a windows Microsoft application too. Just facing this issue with MacOS on Microsoft Powerpoint.

Attached is the screenshot that shows Bold and Italic are off but still the text appears bold and italicised.

Please help..

Macbook: I am using MacOS Catalina version 10.15.4 (19E287), model MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018)

Software: Microsoft Version 16.16.23 (200615)
