Sound cuts out when watching videos - MacBook Pro 13" 2015 - macOS Catalina 10.15.5

My sound cuts out for like 1/10 of a second when streaming video. It's like the sound has a hickup and then it's all back to normal. Then after about 2-10 min it happens again. It's almost unnoticeable, but if you pay attention you can tell.

I have broken it down to video streams. Netflix and YouTube are affected the most. Happens on Safari, Chrome and Friedox. Does not seem to happen on Spotify. Only when video is involved. It does not happen when the video file is local and not streaming.

This started after the newest catalina update. So I belive its a software issue.

Greetings Wizxy1001,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand audio cuts out while streaming video with different apps on your MacBook Pro.

I suggest testing the behavior while your Mac is connected to a different network: Connect your Mac to the internet using Wi-Fi - Apple Support

To further isolate the behavior, see if the issue occurs with a different macOS user account, and test after resetting the NVRAM:

Kind regards.
