how to change HEIC format to jpg on photos already taken in HEIC?

I took irreplaceable photos of my Dad's 100th birthday on my iPhone 11 and in HEIC format. Didn't even know about HEIC until I went to create a photo album through Walgreen's - they don't recognize the HEIC format. Please tell me how to change all these photos to jpg! Praying it is possible!!!!!

Do you have a computer as well? The HEIC photos can be automatically converted to JPEGs when yiu download them to a computer. See this page: Using HEIF or HEVC media on Apple devices - Apple Support

"When you import HEIF or HEVC media from an attached iOS device to Photos, Image Capture, or a PC, the media might be converted to JPEG or H.264.

You can change this import behavior in iOS 11 or later. Go to Settings > Photos. In the TRANSFER TO MAC OR PC section, tap Keep Originals to prevent the media from being converted to JPEG or H.264 when importing. "

You can upload HEIC images to the converter and download them as JPEGs: https://heictojpg.com

If you have the photos in a folder on the MacBook (select them in Photos for Mac and export them with "File > Export > Export ...Photos", they will be exported as JPEGs. In the Export Dialog click the "v" to the right of "Photo Kind > JPEG" to select a high quality:

You can reimport the JPEG versions to Photos.

I hope you can rescue the 100th Birthday photos!
