Bluetooth headphones codec changes from AAC to SBC when using skype/zoom, sound/mic quality becomes horrible

Hello,

I have problems when using Bose 700 NC headphones with my macbook pro. As soon as I enter Skype, I see that the audio code changes from AAC (which sounds great for listening to music) to SBC (in which both my microphone and audio playback sound abysmal).

I have explicitly enabled AAC via the Bluetooth Explorer, but to no avail.

What can I do?
