My Outlook.com account password doesn't work in mail.app

I am able to sign in to my outlook.com email address just fine on the website, however, I get a password error in the mail.app.


This error began when I installed the SurfEasy VPN client, but has persisted since the app was uninstalled. Any suggestions?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15
