small cloud with down arrow next to a folder
The small cloud with down arrow next to a folder on my desktop is probably not hurting anything, but how do I get rid of it?

In the 1st screenshot the cloud with the down arrow is in upper left next to folder named Fernand, in the 2nd screenshot the same cloud with arrow is to the right of folder named Google Drive. Thank you
I'm sorry I didn't mention this before but please be careful about what you allow others to see online, I can see some sensitive documents in the icons. I suggest an edit of your post to remove the second screenshot.
In the sidebar you can see the iCloud section please look through those directories to see if you can see the folder "Fernand" and I would NOT delete it, as I'm pretty sure those are files you want to keep. If you have an external/offline backup, on a flash drive say you will be fine. Download a copy of the folder to an external drive if you can.
As ria36 said this is a cloud backup of an archive of documents.
Can you screenshot this? Make sure it's visible on screen, no folders/apps covering it.
Hold ⌘CMD+Shift+3 and you'll here a camera shutter sound, a file will appear on your desktop and as long as you can see it on screen at that moment.
This will give us a better idea of what this is.
Thanks

It just means that it is available for download. If you click on it, it will be downloaded from the cloud to your Mac
Please see the screenshots in this reply. Thank you.
Thanks, I guess I screwed up on the screenshots. I was finally able to download a third party app by using Chrome. I thank you for the advice and the security tip.
