migrated photo library

I'm trying to help a friend: after updating her old MacBook to Sierra, everything works fine, just one question:

Besides Photo Library, also a migrated iPhoto Library is seen in 'Images'. I know that is normal, but I'm not sure about two things:

the size of the migrated library is much smaller than the PhotoLibrary: is this normal?
System update keeps saying that there is an update for the iPhotoApp. Can she just delete iPhoto? (the two apps: iPhoto and Photo are in the application folder)

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I would expect it to be the other way round, with the iPhoto library larger. But the real question is can she see all her images in the Photos app?

Yes she can delete the iPhoto app.

Thanks for your answer. I'll ask her to check very carefully if all images are in the Photos app.
