How to register Quicktime 7 Pro on Macos Mojave, not Catalina

Hi All,

This article has the solution that works but it isn't clear due to troubles with English. Also, it claims QT 7 will not run on Catalina. I haven't verified that.

SO, to successfully enable the PRO features, bring up Quicktime 7 PRO, which is sometimes found in the Applications/Utilities folder rather than directly in Applications.

You may see two dialogues open.

Ignore them, and go to the QuickTime Player 7->Registration menu...

Enter your name (it has to match the original registration)

Skip Organization. Enter your registration code.

DO NOT CLICK Buy...

Then click back on your Name field again. You will see the words Quicktime PRO appear.

Quit Quicktime 7. Restart it again and you will see the features for PRO enabled again.

If you happen to click on the Welcome to Quicktime dialogue, you may see this error:

Click OK and ignore it. Close the dialogues and start using Quicktime 7 pro.

Additionally, de-select the Content Guide option in Preferences, as that is no longer available, and not even trying that should prevent some network errors.
