"Mail" app deletes my mails automatically after I read them

Hi.

I set up a new email address in the app "Mail" on my MacBookPro. Now, when I read a mail, the app automatically deletes it.

How can I resolve?

Mail App on MacBook Pro Version 10.15.6 is not communicating with Gmail? I am having an issue that started on 7/31/2020 where the Mail App on my MacBook Pro is not updating/communicating with my general Gmail account. If I read or delete an email in my Mail App on my MacBook Pro, it will not register with my Gmail account so the Gmail account when accessed through another method (ex. iPhone App or Computer Browser) will have a collection of unread emails even though I have already gone through them. However, updating information is working the other way around. So if I read or delete an email on my iPhone or in the browser (Safari), my Mail App on my MacBook recognizes the email as being read/deleted. There are no updates I can find for Mail, or for my MacBook in general.

mac mail app: When I open my mail on the mac mail app it doesnt display the content of the email. Can anyone help with this?

If you have the Filtered by: set to Unread, then the e-mail notice will disappear, but still be available.
