iPhone 11 will not connect to my Mac

Just purchased a new iPhone 11 from Apple store and it will not connect to my Mac running Catalina or recognize the phone in iTunes. When connected to the Mac the phone is charging.

Keeping in mind that running Catalina, you'll use "Finder" (instead of iTunes), start here:--> If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support
