Why doesn’t Apple create a way to filter unknown senders for SMS messages?

SMS SPAM I recently changed to iPhone and almost from day one I have problems with SPAM via SMS. I already enabled the option "Filter Unknown Senders" in Settings > Messages, but it made no difference. I can't block the sender because the SMS don't have a number for the sender. Other suggestions?

How to report spam texts in IOS if "Report Junk" does not appear below message? I have "Filter unknown senders" set up in Apple Messages app, but spam texts still coming through.

Unknown Sender Messages iPhone 8plus I have enabled the feature where messages from unknown senders (I.e. NOT in my contacts) are sent to the unknown senders tab. BUT THEY NEVER ARE. I get spam messages often that always appear in my Contacts & SMS tab. Why????

Because SMS is a phone carrier feature.

And again text message is a carrier feature, call them and ask them what they have to block spam text.

Let me rephrase. How can I stop these spam texts from coming to me? Apple’s known senders list only works on iMessages.
