shared albums disappeared from Photos

Shared albums have disappeared from Photos on my iMac, probably since my recent upgrade to Catalina. The shared albums are still on my iPhone.

Make sure the Shared Albums are not hidden in the Shared sidebar area:

Next, try toggling the Shared Albums checkbox off and on in Photos' iCloud preference pane.

Thanks so much! The Sidebar only had the cloud symbol and "Activity" next to it. I went to Photos > Preferences > iCloud > unchecked "shared albums", closed Photos, re-opened Photos, and checked "shared albums". And they've returned! Thank you!!
