I'm trying to add pictures to my Featured Photos Album when you go to FOR YOU tab in the Photos app , I was able to delete some but i cant find a way to add new ones

I deleted all my featured photos too. They are now completely gone and my widget is just black. I’ve restarted my phone several times, the featured folder has not returned. Why would I want a computer selecting my photos and they don’t even choose from my favorites? Can someone help me get these back?
So if you pick a widget you can make your own photo widget to where it can pick a album which you can pick photos for.

I am in the same dilemma! And I am using the new iOS 14 in its beta version. I’ll mention it to apple to fix this.
It should appear again automatically after a few days. Keep photos running in the background, so it has time to find something interesting for the featured photos.
I am not finding any notifications option for instagram why so?
As many have said, it would make the photo widget relevant if we could decide what goes on it. Why Apple do you seem to follow android instead of being what you truly are, a trend setter?
update IOS 14beta into IOS14 original that was beta version may that’s not syncing your whole photo album now may it work on IOS 14 (original)
Full ios14 you still can’t choose any specific album or filter from what I can see, I gave up and went to a third party app for now
