Google Account Can't Go Here - Child's Device

Hello all,

I'm setting up my son's new iphone 8. He is switching from android to apple. I used the move-to-ios app to bring over his content; however, when asked if I want to sync I'm asked to log into his google account.

When I log in it flashes a permissions for about 2 milliseconds (all I can see is the word permission) then the screen flashes back to a screen that says, "Looks like your Google account can't go here." with a Try Again button. This error is coming from the Google Accounts page.

I've already checked parental permissions and my parent email, but don't see anything that is preventing the use of his Google account. Any ideas?

From our understanding, you’re trying to sync data from a Google account to an iPhone. We’d be happy to help out!

Sign your child in on their iPhone or iPad - Google For Families Help has some great information regarding this error, along with some steps listed under the drop-down for “Managing access to unsupervised devices & web browsers”.
