IMovie + ITunes

I cannot get IMovie and ITunes to sync and cannot add new music on IMovie. Any tips? please :-)

MacBook Pro 15″, OS X 10.11

If your songs are in the cloud, iMovie won't read them. You would need to download them to your physical iTunes library. Also, no Apple Music songs can be used in iMovie, even if they have been downloaded to iTunes, because they are DRM protected. You should be able to drag unprotected songs from your physical iTunes library directly into an iMovie project, or onto your desktop and then into iMovie.


Try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.
