Migrating from iMac OS 10.7 to new iMac OS 10.15.5 using Migration Assistant via wifi. In process 6 hours nothing has changed on new iMac screen. Icon old iMac info being transferred to this iMac.

Should the screen progress with any new updates on the process?

NEVER EVER use Wi-Fi to migrate. Connect the old Mac's Time Machine External Hard Disk to the new Mac using a USB cable and it will work 100% of the time assuming the Time Machine drive is in good shape. Wi-Fi was never intended for handling large amounts of data.
I don't know that 10.15.5 can migrate from or understand OSX 10.7...

Prior to buying the new iMac I asked this question. Answer Migration Assistant will do the work.
Wifi is slow but not this slow. So there's an issue I need to resolve.
Am hesitant to select cancel but may have to this am, start over.

Very glad to hear! I will be using it myself fairly soon, I pulled the trigger on 2 new 27" iMacs last week but they won't arrive until after the first due to their custom configurations.
