Formatting issues in Word with doc from Word 2011

I have a Macbook Pro with Word 2011. I opened a document from that in Word 2019 on my new Macbook Air 2020 and I am seeing formatting issues like too much space between words in justified paragraphs.

Is there a fix for this?

Or do I need to resend the doc and start over?

Is there a way to send the doc and open it so that this does not happen when I open the document in Word 2019?

I would hope I can use this doc from Word 2011 on my new 2020 Macbook Air.

I have contacted Microsoft twice and they were no help. They only offered to help uninstall and reinstall Word.

Thank you for your help :)

You might try asking your Microsoft product question in the Microsoft Help Communities.

If Microsoft advised you to reinstall Word I guess that is what you'll have to do. Word is a Microsoft product.
