How to remove unused plug-in?

I have this plug-in that I never used, Smash and Grab, by Get Good Drums. I am trying to remove it, because it bugs me about its license not being activated every time I launch Logic. Although I installed this plugin a while ago, these launch problems only started recently (like maybe a month ago).

The most frequent answer I have seen online so far is to just look inside Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components and delete the associated .component file. But my Components folder is completely empty (none of the other plug-ins is present there either). The plug-ins still show up in the Plug-In Manager though, but the option to Disable Failed Audio Units doesn't seem to do anything and the one to Reset and Rescan Selection simply launches the annoying license activation dialog that I get whenever I start Logic.

Not exactly, but I did find the folder with actual components.

So here are the locations where it wasn't:

  1. ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components a.k.a Macintosh HD/Users/[username]/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
  2. System/Library

Where it actually was:

  • Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

This would have been so much easier to solve if there weren't 3 different folders named Library with a similar structure!

Thanks for your answer!
