I’m trying to log into my iTunes acoount in Apple TV.. I get as far as the sign in and it sends me the verification code but doesn’t prompt me to put it in. I have tried enter ring it following my password, it didn’t help

Trying to log into Apple TV, I have entered my id, password and it sends 2-step auth code but never promos me to enter it. Can someone please help? I have renter the code following my password this did not work

if you have an older model ATV, the code is entered onto the end of the password as one entry. Example: “password123456” then click submit 

  • email- submit
  • password123456- submit 


If you need more time you can have the code sent to you:

Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support

Do you have an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)?

The procedure of entering the password and verification code together in the password field can be confusing. Additionally, there is a time limit, after which the code becomes invalid.


Try this: First enter the characters of your password (do not submit yet), then manually request a new verification code, then append that code to the password (no spaces or other separating characters), and then submit.
