Can’t download music from Apple Music

I can’t seem to download music from Apple Music no matter how hard I try. I had limited success after turning off iCloud library sync in settings, turning off my phone and then back on and turning sync back on. But that would work for me to download an album or two and then immediately after that all downloads would just get stuck and never finish. My internet connection is fine and I’ve tried multiple kinds.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you’re having trouble downloading within Apple Music. We’re happy to help.


To start, check to see if you have any software updates available:


Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


Then, try signing out of, and back into Apple Music. This will remove any songs you’ve made available for offline play and you’ll need to redownload them once you’ve logged back in.


To sign out, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > [Apple ID] > Sign Out. Restart your device before signing back in. Then, make sure Sync Library is on:


Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music - Apple Support


You may also want to try downloading music while connected to a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue persists.
