Iphone and iPad not connecting to any wifi.

Hi, our iPhone and iPad will not connect to our wifi, but the iMac is and so are a couple of Android mobiles. I even took the two devices to a local cafe and tried to connect to their wifi, but no. I have tried unplugging router, using the 'forget network' button etc etc but still no joy. Can anyone please help. Many thanks in advance.
