Clear Tape Over Shattered Screen?

Hi, someone recommended I could put clear packing tape over my scattered iPhone screen until my genius bar appt on Monday. True or no? I just don't want to do further damage, but I'm getting shards of class in my thumbs as I use my phone.

no residue tape for iphone protection i used to, in the past with electronics … use some protective film/tape on parts of the phone like the polished frame on an iphone … to protect from scratches. i want to put some film around the lightning port on an iphone 13 pro, and think non-residue tape like Scotch wall-safe might do the trick. looking to protect from scratches when inserting the plug into the port. any suggestions for something that can be used but wont leave residue or discolor the bezel/frame ?

iPhone 11 Pro Max screen smudge and scratch’s issue Has Apple addressed the iPhone 11 Pro Max screen smudge and scratch issue??? I had my iPhone 11 Pro Max for less than one day of having it in my pocket and my screen is destroyed. It has this swirl smudge mark and hair line scratches on the screen. They are not only noticeable when the iPhone is locked and black but also when I am using the device. If this is the “most durable screen in a smartphone ever ” then don’t use it, it is horrible and so disappointing.... you think you wouldn’t have to worry about it considering the price..

Hairline crack on iPhone screen Should I put a tempered glass screen saver OVER the screen that has the crack? Wouldn’t that protect it more?
