Error Code: 0xc0000034 and 0xc0000225 on Bootcamp Windows 10 Startup

Hello,

I tried to restore Bootcamp Volume using Disk Utility but I got the following Error:

Then I executed check the Image and it shows the following Error:

cannot scan read/write images.

operation failed with status -50: Invalid Argument

Operation failed …

So I deleted and created the disk0s3 using an Windows 10 USB Flash Drive.

Then I restored a cloned a Volume copy from an USB HDD using

dd bs=8m if=/dev/rdisk1s3 of=/dev/rdisk0s3

In macOS it shows the content of the Bootcamp Volume.

But I can't boot into it.

1) Power on and hold option.

2) Start Windows

3) Error Code 0xc0000034

4) I click the only option F1

5) It restarts and I hold option

6) Start Windows

7) Error Code 0xc0000225

8) Options

a) Enter results in page refresh

b) F1 results in restart

c) F8 results in page refresh

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Windows, Windows 10

1) Start macOS Recovery (command + R)

2) Start Disk Utility and clone the Bootcamp (Windows) Partition from the external HDD (disk to disk)

3) Shutdown and Power on while holding command results only in Error 0xc0000225 (with the options F1, F8 and Enter but none working)

4) Shutdown and Power on while holding command and boot from Windows 10 USB Installation Media on USB flash drive

5) Use Shift + F10 to start command prompt

6) I tried several commands but I can't exactly tell which helped.

Maybe restart and try to boot Windows after every command?

C: Is the Bootcamp Partition on the Internal HDD.

F: Is the EFI Partition on the Internal HDD.

a) Use diskpart and assign a free letter e.g. F to the EFI Partition.

In case of Fusion Drive there is an EFI Partition on both, HDD and SSD.

For my understanding the the right one is on the HDD.

diskpart

list disk

sel disk 0

list part

sel part 1

assign (to assign a free letter) or e.g. assign letter=F

list vol (to diskplay an overview of volumes and assigned letters)

b) bootsect /nt60 C:

c) bootsect /nt60 F:

d) bcdboot C:\Windows /S F: /F UEFI

e) bcdboot C:\Windows /S F: /C UEFI

f) ren C:\boot\bcd C:\boot\bcd.old

7) Shutdown and try to boot again while holding command.

Pray and cross fingers that Windows starts.

What do you mean exactly?

If you use macOS Disk Utility, which has no understanding of a NTFS file system, it will not create a valid backup. You will get files, but no other information, that can make Windows boot.

What software should I use to create and restore the Windows backup?

If you use WinClone, you can restore it. If you use Windows Backup/Restore, you will need to install Windows first (using BC assistant), and then use Windows System Restore. Be careful, because Windows Restore does not understand that you also have macOS on the same disk.
