Problem of backuping to a computer

Hello my wife has an existing Ipad and Iphone fully set up, having an apple ID, signed in, being used for a year but when I want to get a backup to Mac or a PC I’m notified as they are new. And been asked to set up as a new Ipad/Iphone or restore from an existing backup. No choice of backup shown up.

Hello,


Tap on the “Set up as new device” button. This will not erase your device. This will allow you to then create a backup.
