Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
So I have been prompted to install 15.5.5 on a Macbook Air. I press to install now. The computer asks about restarting and I say, "restart". The computer restarts, seems to install something but goes back to the state previously after login that says there is an update.
Round and round. Not sure if this thing wants to install.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
