Cannot Locate Airdropped files

I recently updated to the latest versions of my devices: Catalina (10.15.5) on my Mac and iOS 13.5.1 on my iPad Pro. Since updating, when I send a pdf file (as well as other types) from my Mac to my iPad, I get a beep on the iPad acknowledging that the file has been received, but the window asking which app I want to open the file no longer appears. As a result, I cannot locate the transferred file on my iPad. It doesn't appear in any of my apps on the iPad, and I cannot find it by searching my iPad. How do I fix this?

No, the AirDropped file(s) did not show up in ANY of my apps...

However, I finally solved my problem by restarting the iPad...(I forgot the basic doctrine: WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, REBOOT!) After restarting, when I AirDrop, I now get the dropdown list that says, "Open With..."

Thank you for trying to help!
