Can't rename magic keyboard (Mojave)
When I right click on the keyboard to rename it, the only menu choice I see is "remove," there is no "rename" choice. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Yes, and I do get an abbreviated drop down menu, but the only choice is "remove."
I don't have an original Magic Keyboard (batteries) handy, just Magic Keyboard 2's to check.
I just got this one yesterday and it doesn't have batteries. It charges through the USB>Lightning cable.
I don't know then. I have Remove & Rename in the drop down menu, even with the cable plugged in. But I'm running Catalina. It shouldn't make a difference.
A couple things you can try…
