Locking pages

Is there a way to lock a page so if you add anything to a page above it, it will not move or push down anything on the page below it. I get a page layed out just the way I want. Then I add something to the page above and it messes up my perfect page. Thanks!

Use a Page Layout template for your document, or open a Word Processing document and click the Remove Document Body check box in the Document Inspector to convert it to a Page layout document.

Page Layout documents have no Document Body—the location for the main text stream in a Word Processing document. ALL text in a Page Layout document must be in containers—usually Text boxes or Shapes. New pages are added manually, and text does not flow from one page to the next.

A more convenient route might be to lay out your 'perfect page' inside a text box that fills the print area of a Word Processing document. Place the object (the text box) on the page you want it to stay on, then set that object to Stay on Page, and set wrap to Above and below to force text to jump past the box.

Barry
