Never receieved my macbook, but they closed my case. What to do?

Long story short i ordered two macbook pros for next day delivery, which of course uses postmates and not a standard shipping company. Postmates guy drops off my apple bag to me on my porch (we were speaking through the door, as per COVID), and leaves. Only one macbook in the bag... Thats fine I assume the other one will come later. Later I get a notification that my order was fulfilled. Obviously I do not have both macs. (And yes I am near my door all day, I would know if someone dropped something else off.)


Call up apple and they say they have to do a carrier investigation and it will take 7 days. Get an email 2 days later saying my investigation was closed and you will not be taking further action. So that's it? You're going to take my $2000 and not provide me with a macbook? I've been a loyal apple customer for i dont know how many years, but I absolutely cannot allow you to just take my money. Something has to be done about this.
