Whatsapp keeps crashing on iPhone (5s, 8, SE)

Since December 2019 my whatsapp started crashing until the point that it just doesn't work at all anymore. This happened on my iPhone 5s so i thought it was time for an upgrade. On a new iphone 8 this also kept happening. Now i just got a new iphone SE and it is still happening on a newly setup iphone.

I have been contacting whatsapp support since January 2020 and they say it has to do with IOS and that there is no fix available.

I already tried all the basic steps:

• Restart whatsapp
• Restart phone
• Update whatsapp
• Update IOS
• Reset iphone to factory settings
• Set up as a new iphone
• Tried on iphone 5s, 8 and SE but all phones have the same issue

I don't know anymore what to do or where to go with this issue so that's why i'm trying here.

Hope anybody can give my a solution.
