How do I install Chrome on my MacBook Air, so I can get sound for meetings on Zoom?

With that installed, when you click on a Zoom link the browser will prompt you to open the app.
Do you click on the button to log into the meeting with audio. It comes up just before the request to join with video.
Make sure Zoom is enabled in the System/Security & Privacy/Privacy preference pane:

Well you were right in that Google Chrome did not solve the problem. I still do not have sound for Zoom meetings. Do you think I must have headphones?
After I get into the Zoom meeting, this is the message on the screen:
Your browser does not support using the computer audio device. To use Zoom, install the latest version of a standard browser such as Chrome, Firefox and chromium Edge. What do I do next?
You do not need Chrome for that. Download and install the Zoom app, it supports video and sound using your computer (or connected headphones).
