Background activity eating up battery

I have disabled background app refresh for The Weather Channel app, however, it continues to work eating battery life???

iPhone SE, iOS 13

I've seen others post about background activity issues..

At this point, I'd say you should download the most recent update released by Apple today (iOS 13.6)

See if this new release fixes the issue

Seems to have fixed it. Was not alerted to update so thanks for the suggestion. I played around with background refresh and notifications helped a little so think the update fixed it. Battery use went from 49% to 0.
