I created new ID and password on my Ipad4, but IPad is still using old ID

I spent the last 30 mins resetting my Apple ID and p/w on my iPad4 (using 2-factor verification, etc; Apple accepted all new info)....but the iPAD is still using my old ID and p/w (which I cannot remember !!).


Very frustrating!! Why does my IPad not reset with new info ????

Note: when I go into Settings and click on my name (at top), IPad still requests old info. When I go to Password & Security, I get error message: "Authentication failed, a server error occurred."


PS: My device is simply an IPad4 (obtained 2014) with iOS 10 3.3, fully updated. I did not find this in the dropdown list of devices, so selected mini 4 below.

It’s very difficult to provide a definitive answer as to why you’re experiencing difficulties without understanding that precise steps that you followed - so, perhaps you reviewing these support documents will help you to identify (a) the procedure that you should have followed, and (b) the steps that you should have followed having made any changes:

Comparing what you remember doing - against what you should have done - may identify both the cause and solution.
