Sending multiple scanned documents as attachments

I have scanned multiple documents using notes but I’m having trouble sending these as attachments on one email. Using the email option in notes only allows me to send one at a time and notes does not come up as an option when adding attachments within an email. Any ideas please?

iPad 2, iOS 9

You could use drag and drop to select multiple documents and drop them into a new Mail message.
