Granting access to google chrome

Hello, I'm trying to take a test online that requires me to give camera and microphone access to google chrome. I went to system preferences, and checked the boxes that should've granted permission to the application; however, it's still not working. Could anyone help me?

Chrome and other app camera permission I'm in trouble with my new Mac book pro. Just as an example, if I try to have a cal using zoom via browser it doesn't work. Webcam and microphone are enabled on Chrome, but it asks me to enable in the system menu privacy, but as you can see there aren't other applications like chrome in this case to enable and so it doesn't work. How can I add applications manually? Thanks!

Cannot grant mic/camera permissions to apps (ex. Discord, zoom) Hello, I cannot seem to use any mic/camera feature in any third party app. My MacBook Pro is running macOS Monterey, fairly modern enough. My understanding is that these apps need to request for permission to use the microphone or camera, and as the user I would need to approve that in System Preferences. However, there are no requests for me to approve, and unlike the Accessibility tab where I can click a (+) symbol to manually add apps, I cannot do that in the Camera and Microphone tabs. I've looked online and it seems that this is a somewhat common issue for many, but I was unable to find any working solution. Discord and Zoom aren't able to use my microphone nor camera. I appreciate the safety features that are implemented in macOS, but it is now a hinderance and simply quite annoying.

Chrome doesn't have permission to access camera from Mac, but is not listed in "Allow apps below to access your camera" checklist. What do I do? I've been trying to make Mac allow access of camera to Chrome, but it hasn't been working. When I go to System preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Camera, I only have 2 apps listed with checkmarks: Teams and Wechat. Chrome is not there. My Mac is updated up to date Chrome is updated up to date I tried restarting my Mac, didn't work I tried "sudo killall AppleCameraAssistant" and its equivalent, but it didn't work I had the same issue with the microphone, but when I used mictests.com, "Allow Chrome microphone access" popup appeared and let me give permission to Chrome. The same is not happening for the camera and it just says that there are no connected cameras.

It sounds like you're already well aware of how to change those permissions. Just to make sure no steps are missed, check out how to change those preferences here: Change Privacy preferences on Mac

If you're still unable to use the camera and microphone with Google Chrome, try restarting your Mac: How to turn your Mac on or off
