iOS 13.6 overheating and battery drain issues

I was having all these issues until I shut my phone down and restarted twice. It’s back to normal now. I hope this works for you.

Let the update go through your apps and battery charging and using cycle within 5 to 7 days then it will be good to go.

If your phone drains and glitches whilst fully restored to factory settings with no restore from backup, get it into an Apple store because you have a busted phone.

I too have been having battery issues on my Xr I tried every fix I did a full restore that had no affect i wiped and restored and reinstalled all apps from scratch With no successes in the end the only successful fix I have found and am Sticking with was to run iOS 14 b3. I now have a fully functioning phone and back to charging only once a day.

I’ve seen the same issue after updating to 13.6. I did not reset any settings. But switched off Apple Music and seems all ok now.

Also I’ve been an iPhone user for around 10 years now and after updating to new IOS version everyone, one can notice some battery drain for initial few days and it will be back to normal. if still persists, visit a store to diagnose. Cheers!

Unfortunately, my iPhone 11 also going heating after update iOS 13.6, I have hard reset but not help.

Now I delete all google apps (maps, translate, youtube, disk) and today is better.

Also, when I get the brightness at 100% iPhone gets a little heating. Now I get brightness at approx 30% and it is fine. Apple must resolve this problem with iOS 13.6.

No on my iPhone 11 the battery is worse but the phone won’t heat that much .On my iPhone SE 2 i use the iTunes to reset as a new phone and then didn’t back up from iCloud instead I made a new account and installed my apps and the I had 0 issues and after the iOS 13.6.1 my battery improved on my iPhone SE 2 .

location & privacy

then power the phone off and on.

if the problem still persists then reset:

home screen layout

then power the phone off and on

if the problem still persists then reset:

network settings

then power the phone off and on.

It's not a "myth" thread.

Since 13.6, I am also getting overheating, bad battery performance, and noticed odd caching issues when switching between apps.

I could, for instance, use safari, switch to calc or notes, then switch back.

Now safari will reload.

Same with other apps that performed fine pre-13.6 that have not been updated.

Wiped device clean using a 2020 iMac, started from scratch. Same result.

iOS 13.6.1 is released, Bugs fixes included.

FYI, the latest update 13.6.1 helped for me. I can charge both my iPhone and iPad without them becoming hot. I have the iPhone XR and the 6th gen iPad.

Yes. This version of iOS is absolute crap. Go to. 13.6.1 and reset network settings and hope for the best.

Download Lirum Info Lite and report your CPU utilization.

Try resetting location and privacy under settings general then reset.

I also reset the network settings and home layout but I believe it is a location or privacy related issue.
